Familiarity based on study or use.

Expression and exchange of individual ideas through talking with other people; also a set instance or occasion of such talking.

The act or instance of talking together.

Kirti    : Good morning, kedar.

Kedar : Good morning, kirti.

Kirti    : How are you?

Kedar : Fine. Thank you. And how are you?

Kirti    : Very well. Thank you.

Kirti    : Bye. See you again.

Kedar : See you, kirti.

 

*TELEPHONE CONVERSATION*

Trupti   : Hello, is it Manasi?

Manasi : Yes, Speaking?

Trupti   : Hello, Trupti here?

Manasi : Oh Trupti! How are you?

Trupti   : Very well, Thank you. What's new, Manasi?

Manasi : Well, nothing new. Just as usual.

Trupti   : Shall we meet this evening?

Manasi : Why not? Where?

Trupti   : At my place at 6:30.

Manasi : Okay.

 

Mr. Desai : Hello, is Mr. Rao at home?

Mrs. Rao  : Sorry, he has just for Nashik. May I know who is speaking?

Mr. Desai : I am Desai. When will he be back?

Mrs. Rao  : Probably on Friday.

Mr. Desai : I will try to contact him on Friday.

Mrs. Rao  : O.K.

 

*CONVERSATION BETWEEN A SALESMAN AND A CUSTOMER'S*

Salesman : Hi there, can I help you with anything?

Customer : Yes please, I am lookings for a T-Shirt.

Salesman : What size are you?

Customer : I am a medium.

Salesman : Here you are, How about these?

Customer : Thank you, can I try them on anywhere?

Salesman : Certainly, the changing room is over there.

Customer : Thank you!

Salesman : How do they fit?

Customer : They are both fantastic. I will buy the blue one.

Customer : Thank you for your help. Do you accept debit cards?

Salesman : Yes, we do.

Salesman : Here you go, Have a nice day!

Customer : Thank you, Good bye!

Rohan : Hello, Vishal. Good morning.

Vishal : Hello, Rohan. Good morning. How are you?

Rohan : I am Fine. Thank you. And you?

Vishal : Fine. Thanks.

Rohan : Where are you going now?

Vishal : To Modern Book Depot.

Rohan : At Bandra?

Vishal : Yes.

Rohan : For which book?

Vishal : The latest book on Grammar by ______.

Rohan : Oh! I too want it.

Vishal : Then why not come with me now?

Rohan : A good idea. Let's go.

 

*CONVERSATION BETWEEN AIR HOSTESS AND PASSENGER*

Air Hostess : Good Morning, Mam. Wel-come abroad! Your seat is just in the center. 

Passenger  : Thank you, Miss. Could you get me some tea and biscuits?

Air Hostess : Oh, yes Mam. It won't take more than ten minutes.

Air Hostess : Excuse me, Mam. Would you please put your hand luggage under the seat?

Passanger  : What? I've just put it up there on the rack.

Air Hostess : I'm afraid you'll have to take it down and keep it on the floor.

Passanger  : Then, Miss, why are the racks there for?

Air Hostess : Airline regulations, Mam. We can't help it.

Mary  : What shall we do today? Shall we play at dressing our dolls?

Suzy   : Oh! I am tired of that game.

Madhuri : Hallo! Maya. How are you?

Madhavi : Fine, thank you. What a cute garden you have!

Madhuri : Dad has made it. Gardening is his hobby.

Madhavi : What a variety of flowers! And how charming their colours!

Madhuri : Aren't they? But please don't pluck the flowers. Dad would be cross.

: It's a kite. Dad gave me.
